See your PCB files before anyone else does
Drop a fab .zip or loose Gerber and drill files and get a realistic top and bottom render, a layer-by-layer view, the board size and a layer count. Everything is drawn in your browser — your files are never uploaded.
Board: Copper layers:
Scroll or pinch to zoom, drag to pan. Measure: tap two points; they snap to pad, hole and part centres. Esc clears.
Size is taken from the copper extents: no board outline file was found.
Ready to have it built?
Send the same files to the assembly quote readiness check. It looks for the missing paste layer, the BOM and placement-file mistakes, and tells you before you ask for a quote. The files go from this tab to that page without being uploaded.
Get an assembly quote with these filesHow to use it
- Drop the fabrication .zip from your CAD tool, or select the Gerber and drill files together.
- Check the layer list: every file should have the right type. Fix any that do not with its menu.
- Flip between Top, Bottom and Layers. Scroll or pinch to zoom, drag to pan, Fit to start over.
- Download a PNG of the current view, or send the files for an assembly quote.
Supported files
Gerber RS-274X and X2 (KiCad, Altium, Eagle, EasyEDA, Allegro, OrCAD, DipTrace and others, identified from the X2 attributes or the file name) and Excellon drill files, loose or inside a .zip up to 25 MB. An optional placement (CPL / pick-and-place) CSV adds component markers.
Not supported yet: ODB++ (recognised, then you are asked for Gerbers), IPC-2581 and native KiCad, Eagle or Altium project files. Export Gerbers first.
The formula
Gerber (RS-274X / X2) + Excellon drill → layers identified → top and bottom render, drawn here, uploaded nowhere
When to use it
Checking a fab package before you send it, opening a board a customer or a contractor sent you, confirming that the outline, drills, mask and silkscreen are what you meant, or measuring the board without opening your CAD tool. When you are ready to build it, the same files go straight into our assembly quote readiness check.
Pitfalls
- The Bottom view is the board seen from underneath, so its silkscreen text reads left to right as it would when you flip the board over. Mirrored text on the Top view means the file was exported mirrored.
- No board outline file means the size shown comes from the copper extents, and it says so. Fabs cut to the outline, so send one (KiCad: Edge.Cuts; Altium: Keep-Out or a mechanical layer; Eagle: Dimension).
- A file placed on the wrong layer? Each file has a type menu in the layer list — pick the right one and the render updates. Drawings, fab notes and unknown files start switched off.
- Inner copper layers show in the Layers view only; the realistic view is the finished outside of the board, as a fab would photograph it.
- A panel (array, rails, mouse-bites) is one board to a viewer, so the size shown is the panel size. Send the single board and the panel drawing separately if you need both checked.
- Placement-file markers need to share the board’s coordinates. KiCad exports match the Gerbers; Altium and EasyEDA often count from the board corner, and the viewer shifts the markers to fit and shows you the offset so you can correct it.
- Supported: Gerber RS-274X and X2 and Excellon drill files, loose or in a .zip. Not supported yet: ODB++ (an ODB++ archive is recognised and you are told to export Gerbers), IPC-2581, KiCad or Eagle native project files — export Gerbers from your CAD tool first.
- Your files stay in this tab. The usage statistics below only count how many files and layers were opened and which view was used, never a file name or any content.
