HMI and displays

A screen and controls that feel right, and fit the box they live in.

We take your interface from panel choice to a working touchscreen: the display and touch hardware, the driver and UI firmware, and the front panel and enclosure it has to fit.

Clayton, North Carolina. Serving Raleigh and the Triangle. Ships nationwide.

Who this is for

Your product needs a screen or a control panel, and nobody on the team has built one.

Maybe the prototype draws too slowly, a panel arrived with a controller you did not expect, or the interface has to fit an opening that already exists. We treat the display, the touch, the firmware and the fit as one job, because a problem in one of them usually shows up in another.

What you get

An interface that works on the real hardware.

  • Display and touch hardware A TFT, IPS, LCD, and e-paper panel with capacitive touch, chosen for readability, size and what your processor can drive, with the display circuit in the schematic.
  • Display interfaces SPI, parallel RGB, and MIPI DSI, matched to your processor and the panel controller.
  • UI firmware LVGL on ESP32 and STM32, or a driver written directly against the panel controller where frame rate or memory calls for it.
  • Touch The touch controller driver and the mapping from touch coordinates to screen space, checked on the real panel.
  • Front panel Membrane switch overlays plus the buttons and knobs that go with them, worked out with the board behind them.
  • Enclosure fit The window, bezel and mounting modelled against the board outline, and printed prototypes to check the fit.
How it works

Four steps from a sketch to a working screen.

  1. 01 Tell us what the interface does Send what the user sees and controls, the size you have, where it is used (indoors, in sunlight, on a vehicle) and any board, panel or firmware you have, in the quote form.
  2. 02 Choose the panel and approach We pick the display, touch, interface and software approach with you, using parts you can actually buy.
  3. 03 Build and tune on the real panel We bring up the display and touch on real hardware, then tune the frame rate, readability and touch response.
  4. 04 Hand over You receive the firmware source, the schematic and the front panel and enclosure files, as listed in your quote.
Questions

Before you ask

Which displays and interfaces do you work with?

TFT, IPS, LCD, and e-paper panels with capacitive touch, over SPI, parallel RGB, and MIPI DSI. If your panel is not on the list, send the part number with the quote request.

Do you use LVGL or write the display driver yourselves?

Both, depending on the job. LVGL is a good start for many interfaces. When the screen is small, mostly static, or the SPI link is the bottleneck, a driver written directly against the panel controller can redraw faster and use less CPU, so we choose per project.

Can you also design the front panel and enclosure?

Yes. Membrane switch overlays, buttons, knobs and the enclosure are designed together with the board, so the screen, the controls and the opening agree.

What should I send to get an HMI quote?

What the user needs to see and do, the size and mounting you have, where the product is used, and any panel, board or firmware you already have. Send it through the quote form.
